Baik’s Village in Korea

Location: Yeonbong-ri, Hongcheon, Gangwon-do
Baik Sunghak established the first Baik’s Village and operates a comprehensive welfare facility equipped with a nursing home, a church, a shelter for the disabled, a rehabilitation factory, and a hospital. The first Baik’s Village is located in Hongcheon, and was established to commemorate the reunification with Beattie, the American soldier who saved the life of Baik Sunghak during the Korean War, as well as building a relationship with the Korean Army's 110 Mortar Platoon.
Since November 2021, Baik’s Village has been conducting volunteer work in the local area centered around the church and is preparing for new operations

YoungAn has been operating the Baik’s Village in Hongcheon-gun since 1985. Along with Baik’s Village, Young An provided support for small-scale welfare facilities facing difficulties in operation from 1990 to the present in Hongcheon-gun. At the beginning of 2020, YoungAn expanded and supported social welfare facilities in Hongcheon-gun as part of the sharing project in collaboration with Soongeui Women’s College and Soongeui Moffett Memorial Church. Furthermore, Young An is seeking to expand supporting facilities eventually
